It can be really easy to let a tricky or difficult day get the better of you and throw you off centre. It can put you in a huff, shift your otherwise healthy perspective and generally make you feel shit! If that’s not somehow kept in check it can roll over into the next day… and the next… and the next.
If it happens often it can have a knock on effect to our health, our relationships and our libido. Rather than go to bed with everything feeling overwhelming, sticky and generally crap, do something – anything – to nurture yourself and help get you feeling grounded and centred again.
I’m not saying you should try to instantly shift your mood or ignore your feelings. Feel your feelings, process them, sit with them. And also do something to nurture yourself along the way.
It doesn’t have to be fancy or expensive. One thing that really helps me to get grounded and centred again is to get to my nearest woods and sit in nature for a while. If that’s not your thing, try something else. It might be reading your favourite book or poem, going dancing, meditating, doing some yoga, working out at a gym or a million other things.
